The Descent: Part 2 (2009) picks up immediately after the first film.
Sarah Carter, the sole survivor, is forced to return to the cave system with
a rescue team to search for her missing friends. As they descend, it
becomes clear the creatures and the darkness have evolved. Directed by
Jon Harris, the film amplifies the tension with faster pacing, brutal kills,
and deeper exploration of the underground horrors. Though less psychological than its predecessor, it delivers raw, relentless survival
horror.
