Midsommar

Midsommar (2019) follows Dani Ardor, a grieving young woman who joins her boyfriend and his friends on a trip to a secluded Swedish village for a once-in-a-lifetime midsummer festival. What begins as a seemingly idyllic cultural celebration soon descends into a disturbing series of pagan rituals and horrifying sacrifices, trapping the visitors in a nightmare they cannot escape. Blending folk horror with psychological drama, the film explores themes of grief, toxic relationships, isolation, and emotional rebirth against the backdrop of an unsettling sunlit setting.
